Pano Thumbnail Lincoln High Old Theatre
Documented in the final days before demolition began on the old theatre at Lincoln High. Literally thousands of signatures, notes, and sentiments cover the walls backstage, echos left by three decades of students at Lincoln High.

I\'m a sophomore at LHS and I really love the new theatre. The old one looks amazing and looks like theirs a lot of good memories to it. I think LHS really deserved a new and that\'s what we got. I love LHS

Almost brings me to tears to see that beautiful old theatre. I always loved how we sounded in there. It was my favorite place to be in High School. Thanks for the memories.

Wow! And Hillary... there was nothing wrong with playing a nameless blind girl. Did't we give each other names? Loads of memories here.

It took a whole, but I found me, plus a whole bunch of my other fellow Mummers! Think I'll be sitting here for hours reminiscing...and yes, Hillary, I DO remember J.L. and the Funky Mellow Doo-Dah Awards! Some of my best memories ever.

I took theatre class my senior year. I regret to say that i never got to be in any plays but that theatre class was the best thing that ever happened to me. I miss lincoln high so much. So many good memories.

Wow! I think the best part is seeing the signatures of people I haven't thought of in a long time. I wonder what they are doing now. I started in theater at Lincoln High with dreams of playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. Of course, I got to play a nameless "blind girl," but that was enough to hook me. I think that theater got a lot of us through our teen angst. What memories: friends, Mummers, and let's not forget J.L. and her "Funky Mellow Doo-dah Awards"!

More than 3 decades worth - I signed the wall and I graduated from LHS in 1975. There were tons of signatures way before that, too. Great pano - many great memories there.

What words can express the true beauty of this theatre? All who graced this stage experienced it's magic...I was one. The friendships and memories made here will never leave my heart. Friends, we did make magic!

That back stage was SOOO small!! I remember trying to fit a bunch of us wearing hoop skirts back there!! What a time. The Barron family spent a lot of time on that stage from '77-'84.

This is wonderful! It's been many years and I had forgotten how many people signed their names on these walls. Couldn't find mine, covered by others over time, but still just as meaningful for us old Links I'm sure. Great job!

The images could definitely be used following completion of the renovation, whether as wallpaper as Larissa suggested or printed and hung backstage.

Please grab the wallpaper of any of these images if you are so inclined!

I still think LHS should have these hig res images blown up as wallpaper and re-mounted on the newly renovated surfaces...

This is incredible! Thanks. A lot of hard work and good times were had in this space. I wonder if that piano on stage is the same one I performed the Grieg Concerto on *gah* 26 years ago?

Thank you for capturing this for everyone. I could not take my eyes off the screen as the memories of 1981, '82, and '83 became so vivid in my mind. I hope the future generations enjoy the new auditorium as much as we enjoyed the old one.

These panoramic images were captured using a high dynamic range technique that allows us to capture a larger dynamic range of light by shooting multiple exposures of each section of the panorama. The exposures are combined and the luminance information is tonemapped for display on the web. This technique allows us to shoot beautiful photos even in challenging or low-light situations.
