In November of 1986, then-President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the rose to be the National Flower. It's time to honor our Nation's Flower and give the rose a proper home here in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Rose Society, in partnership with the Lincoln Parks Foundation and City Parks & Recreation Department, are proud to lead the $350,000 campaign to renovate and restore Lincoln's only municipal rose garden. A generous donation from Don Hamann, owner of Sartor Hamann Jewelers and avid rose grower, helped kick this campaign off.
Located near South 27th Street & Capitol Parkway, this renovation effort is the second project envisioned by a master plan for the Antelope Park Triangle. The first being Sunken Gardens, the Rose Garden will soon become the second gem in the setting.
