A lot has been done in the last 16 months since this location's initial posting on this site. One of the best improvements has been the re-opening of a skylight in the back workshop. I've always said that John remodels his place more often than most people re-arrange their furniture. The email address has also been changed to hargissstrings@gmail.com a few months ago.
I not only repair and create musical stringed instruments in the shop but I also am the digital archivist for the photos seen in the front. Those images show Benson, Nebraska (annexed by the city of Omaha in 1917) as it was in it's heyday.
We have a large, hi-def, digital library of historic Benson images. We continue to collect, organize and display various aspects of Benson's storied past. The front of the shop is now known as the "Benson History

the front of the store is just plain for the showcase of the instruments, the back apartment is still in the process of being finished...
